Is it possible to create copy of SQL tables on Synapse for Power BI reporting and Machine learning ?

I am working on creating a solution where a copy of the SQL sever tables (around 200 tables) can be made on Synapse Analytics for downstream cases such as :

- Power BI reporting.

- Ad hoc Data Analysis.

- Machine learning modeling using Python.

- Ability to write new tables into Syanpse storage as an excel file or SQL table.

- Reading data from multiple sources : Excel, XML and SQL Server.

My team manages data access and for security reasons we want to provide a copy of the data rather than direct access the Enterprise Warehouse on SQL. 
Are the above use cases possible on Synapse ?

Greetings!  You could create clones of the tables or shortcuts to a smaller lakehouse to keep the data more contained.
