Error fetching data for this visual (but is only one)

Hi. I'm looking to embed my report by using "Publish on the web", but there are specific visualizations that generate a "network error". The only thing these viz have in common is that they have a visual calculation but nothing else. Any idea?

Hi @simonz99

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

To resolve the "network error" encountered when embedding specific visualizations using "Publish on the web" in Power BI, please consider the following solutions:

Visuals with extensive DAX calculations or dependent measures might cause timeouts or processing errors.

 1. Query Timeout

  • Ensure that calculations are correctly configured and do not exceed Power BI's limits.

2. Check Data Source Compatibility

  • Verify the data source. "Publish to Web" may not support certain data sources or configurations (e.g., Live Connection or DirectQuery with RLS).

3. Test Visual in Power BI Service

  • Open the report in the Power BI Service (not embedded) and test the visual. If it works there, the issue may be specific to "Publish to Web" rendering. If it fails, inspect and debug the visual.

4. Network Connectivity

  • Ensure a stable internet connection. If possible, try publishing from a different network to rule out local network issues. Additionally, check if your firewall or proxy settings are blocking Power BI URLs.

If my response has resolved your query, please mark it as the Accepted Solution to help others. Additionally, I would appreciate a 'Kudos' if you found my response helpful.

Thank you!
