I have a series of warehouses and lakehouses in place. One of them, let's call it lakehouse_medallion, consists of a variety of tables: shortcuts, local tables, etc.
I am using this lakehouse to test out a new paradigm for our self-service capabilities, and in doing so needed to create curated semantic models. I was doing this without any issue until last week, when suddenly it became impossible for me to create or modify semantic models in this lakehouse. I *am* able to create semantic models in any of my other lakehouses. The only notable difference is that this lakehouse has schemas enabled. If I create a new lakehouse with schemas enabled, I can create a semantic model just fine.
There is absolutely no useful information in the error message, and I'm multiple days into a ticket with MS support trying to get clarity. Here is the error message I get:
We couldn't add or remove tables
COM error: Microsoft.MWC.Workload.Client.Library, Microsoft.MWC.Workload.Client.Library.Utils.WebApi.PBIServiceException.
