I hope you're doing well i recently noticed that when creating new tables in Power BI the column formatting now seems to default to Grow to Fit instead of Fit to Content This change makes the columns automatically expand across the full table width, which can make visuals appear less readable and requires some manual adjustment for each new table I wanted to check if theres a setting or update that might have introduced this behavior and whether theres a way to adjust the default so that tables consistently use Fit to Content I know copying and pasting from existing visuals can help but since this wasn't the behavior before I thought it might be worth confirming if something changed recently Thanks so much for your time and help, I really appreciate any insight you can share
Hi @mpeterscems ,
As @MasonMA mentioned, this appears to be a bug.
I recommend reporting it through the link below on the Microsoft Fabric Forum so the product team can review and address it.

It was intended to make visual look “cleaner” by avoiding empty space, but it overrides the previous default of Fit to Content and according to MS product team in this picture, there is a bug. I also noticed it right after i updated to Oct version.
Thank you!
