Hi duncfair,
Could you check if the relationship cardinality between this table and other tables is set correctly? If these are not set correctly it could also cause a duplicate error, so perhaps that's the culprit.

Hi Tim,
Thanks! I was not the original creator of this report (I'm the backend data guy) and the issue was an auto-created relationship that didn't make any sense. Changing that resolved the error.
