We can refresh the dataset in Power BI Desktop file (.pbix) in Power BI Desktop by clicking the “Refresh” button. Is there any way to do this programmatically?
Not possible in desktop as you need some instance of Power BI to run your report on.
@javedbh Not aware about on how to achieve this in Desktop Tool but you can definitely schedule refresh on Online Service directly or either using Power BI Personal Gateway depending upon the datasource.
Please explain your statement further: "you can definitely schedule refresh on Online Service directly". Is this relevant if we are using Power BI Embedded PBIX files?
