REST API Call from Custom Visual no longer possible?

Hi everyone, 

I am trying to get data into a custom visual from an external source. This is the endpoint: https://ipapi.co/json

I am trying to fetch the data when clicking a button however the button does not respond. It looks like the endpoint is never fetched. Have there been some changes in the past weeks? It worked last week tho.
