Hi all,
does anybody know how exactly am I supposed to save a table (dataset) to a csv on some network location using an R Script?
Basically, I followed the instructions here: Solved: Can PowerQuery write data back out? - Microsoft Power BI Community
# 'dataset' holds the input data for this script
# set the working directory to the location in which you want the transformed CSV saved
setwd("C:/temp")
# write out the transformed data set
write.table(dataset, file="transformed_data.csv", sep = ",", row.names = FALSE)but it only works when I save my sample.csv (the equivalent of transformed_data.csv above) locally to the machine where I developed the Power BI report and subsequently installed R.
Th eOptions for R do not see any network location.
Is there a way to start seeing those network locations:? I do have access tpo those locations through my domain user, service aacount(s) in the Active Directory, etc.
Thanks,
vrv

Hi @vrv,
R script is possible to execute script on power query side to export file.
Notice, these types of operations(e.g. looping folder/file, save/edit the file, access to the remote resources) should only work on the device that you have enough permissions. If you publish the report to the power bi service side, these operations will be blocked due to security reasons.

Hi all,
Is there a more specialised forum where I can find an answer to my question?
Thanks,
