Hello community,
when I want to use the Power BI REST API the documentation tells me, that I need a Azure Directory where I register the APP to authentificate the application.
Do I need this only by client applications?
When I have a web app, I don't need the Azure Account and I only need a Client ID from this website? (https://dev.powerbi.com/apps?type=web)
Has anyone information about the cost in Azure, when I only use Power BI with a application?
Thanks in advance.

Okay, I've asked the MS Azure Support: I need a Azure Acount where I register my app and a user in the AAD. So I must licence the single user.
I am also interested in this topic
1) Do I need this only by client applications?
-so clients of my application does not need AAD account? only Power BI account to view Dashboard, right?
2) native application - can this be a winforms application?
3) about costs - I am also interested in what resources I have to include in my costs estimate
AAD - because application needs it to use Power BI Rest API -> ok, clear
ADD for users? Really hope that I don't need
Power BI accounts - Power BI free should be ok?
Azure SQL - for data storage
>> 2) native application - can this be a winforms application?
You can use every application that supports REST Calls / JSON.
Thanks, this is great that it is no limited to Web or UWP applications only! 🙂
