Org Chart for multiple companies with slicer filter

Hi

I am trying to create a Org chart for multiple companies and use this for our company. In order to use that I also need to multiple filters such as region, segment etc.

But the org chart does not filter properly when I use the slicer. For example when I select Europe as a region, the chart gives all Europe. But if the reporting manger is not in Europe like for example CEO, it does not show the that.

How to acheive this?

HI

The issue is not with the user view. We have a marketing database where we have different potential customers. The org chart is for those companies. The filters I need to break that data. For example I am looking for all Hilton hotels in London in luxory segment and then I should get the org chart for that

Hi @pbiinterel ,
Thank you for the follow-up.I would be happy to assist you!

The issue is that when you filter by region, segment, or company (e.g., Hilton hotels in London, Luxury segment), Power BI removes any rows that don’t match the filter,so if a manager doesn’t meet those criteria, they’re excluded and the org chart breaks. To fix this, you may use a DAX PATH() function to create a manager chain, then build logic to include not just the filtered employees but also their full reporting paths. This preserves the org hierarchy while still reflecting your filters in the visual. Let me know if you’d like help with the DAX setup.

I hope this helps. If so,consider accepting it as solution.

Regards,
Pallavi.

Hi @pbiinterel,

Perhaps you can try to use RLS to filter records based on user regions lookup data which mapping from current username:

Row-level security (RLS) guidance in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Using Username() in DAX with Row-Level Security | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power BI
