I have an issue, we are trying to display polygons, linestrings and more complex structures than points in Power BI maps using data from a lakehouse in Fabric. We have a column with the geometry in SRID 4326 and we have converted it to esriJSON with the function as_esri_json of geoanalytics_fabric, which is the supposed supported type for locations in ArcGIS for PowerBI maps. However, when we try to use this column as location, the map is empty. How can we archieve this?

Hi @davidsuarez ,
Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with displaying polygons and linestrings in ArcGIS Maps for Power BI using data from your Fabric lakehouse.
Ensure that the geometry data from your Fabric lakehouse is not simply raw EsriJSON but is properly wrapped as a FeatureCollection with the correct spatial reference (SRID 4326) before using it in Power BI and please verify that the data category of the location column in Power BI is set to “ArcGIS Location” or “ArcGIS JSON” immediately, as this setting is essential for the map visual to correctly interpret complex geometries such as polygons and linestrings.
Also confirm that your Power BI and ArcGIS Maps for Power BI visuals are up to date, as some older versions may have limitations or issues impacting geometry rendering. Testing with a minimal wrapped geometry example now can further help isolate any data structure-related problems.
If this solution worked for you, kindly mark it as Accept as Solution and feel free to give a Kudos, it would be much appreciated and also helpful for others in community.
Thank you.
