Hi,
I would like to use the licensing API as shown in this article:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/visuals/licensing-api
I'm all set up, but I can't get a sensible response from the API, since the developer visual isn't on AppSource.
Is the only way to get a "personalized" response to create a test visual and upload it to AppSource (that would take 3 weeks if I'm not mistaken) or is there another way?
Thanks!

Hi @JohannesLent ,
Have you ever tried to test it in developer mode?
To override the AppSource version with a local file version, enable Developer mode in either Power BI Desktop, or Power BI service.
To enable Developer mode in Power BI desktop, follow the instructions in Enable Developer mode in Power BI Desktop
To enable Developer mode in Power BI service, follow the instructions in Set up Power BI service for developing a visual.

Hi,
thank you for your answer, but that was not what I was looking to find. My problem was not about getting the visual to work, but I wanted to test out the response which the API responds gives back to me. Apparently the only way to actually test this response (specifically I want to know LicenseInfoResult.plans) is to upload a dummy visual. Ofcourse my company could add licensing to our products and I could implement the API, but they said I should test it first, before we change productive code in Power BI.
So thank you for your answer, but my problem is solved for now.
