Highlight a Visual

Is there a way, if I can select a specific visual from the iframe that I can highlight it?  Or add something to indicate that there is further information somewhere else?  I have implemented a conversation feature in my Power BI Embedded solution where my users can select a data point, and it will open a conversation panel next to the report iframe.  I would like to be able to identify all the data points on the screen that have conversations going on.  Is it possible, using the Javascript API, to highlight or modify a specific visual and/or data point?
