Hello,
I'm successfully able to connect to power bi.
When i use the route https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/datasets/{id-here} , i get only the meta data like name, configuredBy, isRefreshable ...
How can i get data from an existing table in my dashboard and not only the structure, which route should i use ? is it possible ?
Can i create a new table with json (POST) and get data as response ?
thank you,
Hi @ibenbassou,
Is it necessary to get data through API? Why not connecting to the data source directly or exporting data from the reports? Please refer to Get-data-using-REST-API,
You can push data through API. Please refer to api/power-bi/pushdatasets.
Best Regards,
Dale
@v-jiascu-msft Thank you for the answer, it's bad to have an API to write data without being able to read them. I hope they ll add this functionality in the new updates.
I want to get data directly from power bi to use DAX expression, and this gonna be helpful for me than recovering data directly from the data source.
