Filtering of data using API

Hi,

My colleague has a PowerBI Pro license which they have used to embed their salary report in a shared workspace. I am trying to have a code created in React which helps my team members view the report's data (their own salary), but I need to filter it to show only certain data according to the type of user in my team (Manager/Developer/QA).

We are using a schema basic to filter data, but it uses embed tokens instead. Is there any way we can filter data without having to use generate tokens API (POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/GenerateToken)? I already have username and password of the PowerBI pro license holder.

Hello,

To filter the view according to the user, I do not know in React but you can use the RLS which basically creates Roles in the Report.

Check out : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/enterprise/service-admin-rls

Tell me if that helps.
