File download API - exportVisualsContent method doesn't work in Power BI desktop

Hi there!

We have a custom visual with possibility of content export using File download API , method "exportVisualsContent".

this.host.downloadService.exportVisualsContent(fileContent, 'data.xlsx', 'base64', 'xlsx file')

This method works in web version but doesn't work in the latest version of Power Bi Desktop. 

Method just returns false and doesn't start file downloading.

Older version of Power Bi Desktop (2.137.952.0) works well.

@dm-p, could you help me with it? Or any idea?

I wasn't aware of this, but it looks like a regression. I can replicate it, too. Thanks for making me aware. I'd suggest contacting the team - pbicvsupport@microsoft.com - to see if they can advise.

Issue has been resolved in the next version of Power Bi Desktop by microsoft team!
