Developer mode on a Report Server or alternative solution

Hello I'm looking to develop visuals. I've followed some tutorials at home using poweshell, visual studio code, and the power bi service.

 

using this type of environment https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/visuals/environment-setup?tabs=windows

 

Where I work we use an on premise Report server. Is it possible to use developer mode on the report server? I don't believe we have access to the PowerBI service. 

If it is not possible is there another solution so that I can have a test visual interface for what  I'm coding?

HI @Just_John,

In my opinion, I think report server should more suitable paginated report designs and managements. I don't think you can develop custom visuals on report server side.

For testing custom visual, you can refer to the following document:
