Customized tooltip for Custom Visual

I am building a custom visual and need to control the style of the tooltip but i can not figure out how to do this. I want to be able to customize the color of the header, change the padding for the tooltip, e.t.c.  Is there any way to do this?

 

My visual is an extension of PowerBI-visuals-sampleBarChart and i am currently using the tooltip the same way they do there.

Power BI Custom Visuals API doesn't allow to customize tooltip.

As a workaround, you might implement your own tooltip service and customize it as you want.
