How to use Clustering-automatically find clusters option with report based on Live connection to power bi dataset?
Hi @Anonymous
Based on my test, Power BI doesn't support you to use clustering-automatically find clusters option on tables which use Power BI Dataset as datasource.
Clustering-automatically find clusters option will create a group (a new calculate column).
Currently we have two connection mode to connect to Power BI Dataset, Live connection / Direct Query.
If you select to connect live, then there is no query defined, and the entire external model is shown in the field list. There is no sense in which a new model is being created; in other words, it's not possible to define new calculated columns, hierarchies, relationships, and so on.
When we convert to Direct Query, we still couldn't use this function on visual based on tables from Power BI Dataset.
And I try to add an other table from other data source like Execl, this function appears in the visual based on this table.
Best Regards,
Rico Zhou
