Bookmark Navigator default page in group?

I'm using Bookmark Navigator functionallity and buttons to create the UX of browser tabs in a report. The design works well with the exception of being able to set a default landing page in the bookmark group that i'm using for the navigation. I can't find a way t ser this.

I've looked in the Bookmarks deselection options and tried to set the desired default page as the Deselected value, hoping that this would do the trick, but it does not. The published report seems to retain the bookmark navigator button last clicked and display that as the choice by default.

A user can click from any of the main pages to other main pages in the report, then in some of the main pages, there are sub-pages that I'm using the Bookmark Group Navigation:

I'd like to set the 1st "tab" as the default selected value when a user lands on this page from any other main page.
Is this possible? Perhaps if it is not available in the settings in the Desktop version, can it be coded in the json files?

Thanks for the help!
