My organisation has power bi reports embedded into their web application which is driven from a live connection to a SSAS tabular model.
I'm trying to figure out a way to pass parameters back to the application from any selections made within the report. E.g. the user explores the data and finds a segment they want to work on within the application. They then click on that segment in a bar chart, for example, which then populates a worklist within the application.
Obviously there will be some coding required within the application to handle this.
Has anybody ever seen a solution like this or suggest an approach?
I've considered perhaps writing a PowerApp to embed within the report, but I'm not sure if I can get the report to communicate with the PowerApp.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
