In that case a custom visual might work better, i.e. clustered stacked column chart. You would need to create 2 separate measures for each year (example below) and align legend colors.
Units Prev Year = CALCULATE( SUM(ItemLaunch[Units]), KEEPFILTERS(ItemLaunch[Year] = "FY2023") )
