"An error occured while the rendering the report" keeps popping up and won't let me edit the report

Hi,

I am getting this very annoying popup whenever i try to change my slicer selection for a matrix containing a RANKX  formula. I am not sure whether this is an issue with Power BI or formula problem.  I've already deleted my Power BI cache and the contents of this folder C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\CEF\cache but this does not help.

I am using  a simple RANKX formula

Attribute Rank by Delay Contribution =
IF (
    MIN ( 'RAW DATA'[# of Months Rolling] ) <= [Rolling Max Month Constant],
    IF (
        HASONEVALUE ( 'Attributes'[Items] ),
        RANKX ( ALL ( 'Attributes'[Items] ), [Beyond SLA x Value] )
    )
)

*Rolling Month Constant is actually just  a constant containing a number. I used a measure as there are other measures using this constant so I can just update this measure whenever there is a need to change the constant instead of editing all other related measures one by one.

Hi @danextian,

Please publish this report to service, and change the slicer selection on service to see whether the same error prompts.

If the report works fine on service, there might be something wrong with desktop tool, please uninstall it and install the latest version for a test.

@v-yulgu-msft

it is working fine now but the formula still calculates very slow. I was wondering if there is any alternative to RANKX.
