pulling a folder from sharepoint

im pulling my hair out trying to connect to a sharepoint folder, ive had an external sharepoint folder shared with me, i need to suck in all those files in that folder.  When trying to connect with the shared url, it doesn't like the url.

The more i remove pieces of the url and i put the root folder name in, i get 'the remote server returned an error'

any clues?

from my experience you need to connect to root e.g. https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/ and from there navigate to a specific folder
but if even that gives you an error, then maybe there is issue with access? maybe it's worth to test your code with the owner of the SharePoint?
