ok, so I what i want to do is search the table below for items where the field = status and has a created date within 7 days, and i want to report on the new value and key.
is this difficult?

@Anonymous , Yes, it may be >= Today() -6, depend on need.
Also, all measure in visual table should have same filter or use this measure as visual level filter
@amitchandak after fudging around for a while i managed to get it to work, thanks.
I tried this but it doesn't seem to do what i need, i want to report on the change in something like a matrix, where i can show the old status -> new status, so the output would look something like this, based on the table above.
@Anonymous , Create a measure like this and use in visual or use as a visual level filter and check for non blank
countrows(filter(table, Table[Created date] <= Today() && Table[Created date] >= Today() -7))
