max date across different months in a column

hi

  i have been trying to create a measure or column that calculates the max date in a month, across different months of the year

i tried CALCULATE(MAX(Tablename[columnname])) but this just gives me the last day in the entire column

i need max date for each month in the column.

pls i need help with this.

  • Hi Peeches123,

    You should have a date column, then have a month column as my sample table. Then please create a calculated column using the formula:

    MAX = CALCULATE(MAX(TableName[Date]),ALLEXCEPT(TableName,TableName[Month]))

    Please see the expected result as follows.

    Best Regards,
    Angelia
