I am trying to create a visual like this
What I have is this
I can't find why it isnt drilling down thru the date heirarchy. This is a report of animal sightings at specific locations during different time periods. I have been comparing the corrrect one with the incorrect one and don't see any differences. Actually in the correct one I didn't use a date heirarchy and I first did that with incorrect but then switched because thought that might be problem
If I don't include the common name then I get this
Almost correct except that the sighting counts aren't showing in the matrix. I have checked the relationships (between good and not good) and they look the same to me

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.

Timestamp was the problem. Thanks again
Thanks. The data related field is date/Timestamp. In Data View I had changed it to Date and the relationship showed as Date-Date. So I guess I am only changing the display as setting. I will try adding another column that is only Date and relate that to Calendar. I shouldn't need to add Year, Quarter and Month fields in my data - Corrrect? PowerBI will drill down off the Date Field
