how to change import query tp direct query

I am trying to change an PBI import query to Direct Query and i cant find a clear  answer on how to go about it. Was wondering if anyone has a good walkthrough - i  have seen some suggestions about changing the pbx file into zip but i cant quite find a way of doing this step.

Direct Query to Import, it works.

But Import to Direct Query, you cannot.

If you really need to change it to direct query,my suggestion is to create a new one using direct query then copy your applied steps from your previous report.

@Anonymous , I have tried many times in the past, but I end up adding tables again
