@Anonymous
If you're talking about a calculated column, it should work. Just fix a little syntax error.
if(isblank([Code1]),[Code2],[Code1])
Or mergring columns
CONCATENATE([code1],[code2])
I am trying to merge two columns, Zip and Country for Lab 2.
1. create a new column
2. using "Concanate", the formula showing says "Column = CONCANATE ()
3. when I try to click on the first line of the zip field to select the first data to concanate, it highlights the entire column, no matter how I click and the formula doesn't show until I click back on it. But each time it does not add that as the first data field.
I'm stuck how to combine two columns for Lab two for CountryZip

It seem that this formula dose not wark on big data (I have 65K rows) is it posible?
I tried this but it still returns first column, here is my DAX formula "IF(ISBLANK(PNL[Job No_]), CONCATENATE(PNL[Job No_] , PNL[Job_Order No_]) , PNL[Job No_])"
what am I doing wrong?
@Anonymous - you can merge two columns in the query editor. Select the columns you want to merge and then in the ribbon you will see merge columns.
