datasource error

Hi All,

Writing this post to seek suggestions in regards to the below error i am facing while "Edit Query" in PBI Desktop.

DataSource.Error: An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'System.IO.FileLoadException'
Details:
    DataSourceKind=SQL
    DataSourcePath=<<servername>
    Source=<<xyz>>

The server can be accessed through SSMS(Sql server management issue) and posses all the required privileges to perform data manipulations.

Please help in this regard. Thanks in advance!!

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks fo the response.

This issue was specific to a particluar server.Most likely a networking issue.

Just had a work around to connect to another instance of that server.

Thanks again 🙂

Cheers

Hi there, do you have any other issues with other data that you load?

The reason for the question is that it appears that possibly it could be with Power BI Desktop, or if there potentially an issue with the hard disk drive on the PC you are working on.
