Hello experts, need your input in building a PBI data model for ad hoc report where i have 30 dim tables and 2 fact tables. How should i connect them provided most of them have a common primary key in them? Dim 1,2 -all directly linked to fact 1 is an option. But doing that with all tables will be too much. Or should i do dim1 connected to dim 2, dim 2 connected to fact 1. I did import from databse to power query but while doing 'apply changes' it took more than an hour to load for all data' . So need to make sure users have a solution that does not take long for query refresh. Any suggestion on how to build this model?
Also i have one table whithout any common field. How should i handle that.
Thanks a lot,
Powerbi suggests having a star schema model. Please refer to the document
