hi, i have two questions:

1: if i whant to see my dashboard thru the web (powerbi.com and sign in),and i whant the options to refresh the data and get the latest updates, do i ave to built the dashboard only on direct query mode?

2: if i whant to hide a data and intreduce only the visuals (i have a sales manager that i whant him to see only green or red ,depend on profit perect) how can i block the option of the data labels? also whant to disable the options of seeing the data when put the mouse on the visuals.

its can be done??

1: You can use refresh now if you use import and not direct query as you see in the pic below.

2: No I think you can't do this.

i know this button, but from my expirience its not working when you try to refresh dashboard from import.

did you make any special setting on the power bi data gateway?

As I show you , you must refresh the dataset and not the dashboard.

No from the service. Beware, dashboards usually refresh every 15 min, even I see it happens immediately after the refresh of the dataset.

There's not too much to configure in Personal Gateway. You just need to sign in your Power BI and provide your Windows Credential.

As @sokg said, dashboard only trigger a tile refresh every 15 mintues. To see the latest data, you have to refresh the dataset. Make sure you "Edit Credential" before refresh for the first time you publish the dataset onto Power BI.

If you find the refresh still doesn't update the data, please check "Refresh History" to see detail error message.
