When I created a measure table and then added a measure but cancelled it out - it got rid of the table itself.
When I tried to create a new table tiwht the same name it said it already existed.

The table should be visible in transform data Where you also can remove it
The table should still be visible when you go to transform data
If you define a table with no visable columns the user cannot select any columns from that table so it hides the table. Not what you want but in some way it makes sense.
So there should be at least 1 valid measure in the table. Once its there remove the column which you dont want to show.
