Way to select multiple items items while filtering

Is there a way to quickly select multiple items in filters? In Tableau I can add one of my dimensions to the filters box I will get a list of all of my customer numbers, then I can select one, move my mouse cursor down and I have the ability to select as many as I wish. I cannot figure out how to quickly select multiple items from my filter besides clicking on each one indivdually (very cumbersome). My data includes 650 customer numbers..painful
