Waterfall - use metrics not variances

Hi All,

I am trying to build a waterfall cut by time, however when I do, the waterfall calculates the variances - I appreciate this is the expected behaviour, but I would like the waterfall to respect the data given.

If I create a waterfall without time, I get this.

Which works as expected - the begining, middle and end points reflect the below data.

If I add the date dimensions, I get this.

The main points (blue) are exactly as expected, however the middle points are variances, not as per the provided metrics.

I have tried to attach the PBIX file but it says it's not supported here?

Yes, this is by design and cannot be changed. You can try the custom visual Simple Waterfall.

Or change it.
