Waterfall Chart Help

I am trying to create a waterfall chart with the values a EBIT by period, and the breakdown as other items (such as GP, net revenue, etc.). I took some pictures to help understand.

My problem comes when I try to make the chart. I want the values to be EBIT, and every other item to be the breakdown, which is why I created EBIT ACT Values column to use as the values. When I try to take out EBIT from items, the waterfall chart ends up showing no values. (See below)

This happens no matter if I use EBIT ACT values in the value field, or just ACT values, which contains all items.

Let me know if you have any additional questions - hope I was clear enough.

Hi @andyring

Based on the dataset you provided,I make a test but there is no value shown on the visual.I thought this is for EBIT ACT Values are all 0 above.

Then I replace 0 to other numbers, the visual can show normally.

When I select some items which EBIT ACT Values are 0 in the Visual Filter, It would show no values.

Please confirm EBIT ACT Values or  ACT values have values except 0 for the selected items.

If I misunderstand you someway, please let me know.

Best Regards

Maggie

Hi Maggie,

Yes, both EBIT ACT Values and ACT values have values other than 0. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Hi @andyring

I can't reproduce your problem, Could you share me your pbix?

You could make a copy of your pbix and delete some data for privacy but not effect your chart in this scenario.

Then email to me via private message.

Best Regards

Maggie
