Vlookup in Power Query Editor

Hi,

How to use VLookup in Power Query Editor? I've pasted the DAX here but no luck. Any help on this?

Refer the below blog to achieve it in M query:

https://eriksvensen.wordpress.com/2019/02/28/powerquery-replicate-doing-an-excel-vlookup-in-m/

Or

You can duplicate your query and merge the two queries to get the desired columns.

Disable the load from the duplicate one to avoid performance issues

Hi @Anonymous ,

Looks like you are using the DAX at teh wrond place.

LOOKUPVALUE is a dax function similiar to VLOOKUP in excel but this should be used in Power BI Desktop.

You are using it in Power Query Editor which only accepts M.

Please close the Editor window and create a column and then try to use this formula

Hi,

I need to use it here only so that I can unpivot the columns for my Dynamic Diemension logics. I can achive it from the Desktop but I can't do the unpivotting.

Is it possible to get my desired coloum from another table using M Query?
