Hi,
I'm Looking for suggestions on how to best "visualize" Order Time patterns.
Data source is SQL table with the Year, Month, Day, Time, and Hour that every Order is entered into our system. Example data is below. I want to create a visual that shows what time of day orders are entered so we can look for patterns. For example, most orders are entered between 2:00 and 4:00. I was trying to use the Scatter Chart, and a Bubble Chart, but can't get them to come out as I want.
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike Bailey
Hi @mbailey ,
You can first create a calculated column or measure to calculate the count of different time period,using below sample expression:
measure =calculate(count[COLUMN],FILTER(ALL(table),[time]>=2&&[time]<=4))
Then use "heatmap" or "wordcould" visual to better visualize the time period.
This might be a good application of turning a matrix into a heatmap with Days on the columns and Hour on the rows (or vice versa). Please see this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCq9Nz8K_Cs
If this works for you, please mark it as the solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Please let me know if not.
Regards,
Pat
