How to decrease size

Hello experts,

I have a folder containing zip files and each zip has one excel which is over 50 mb.

i unzipped them in PowerBI with instruction from another post. Then I get a view with a list of csv files. I used this as reference and created 15 more reference query where I clicked on each csv to import. So query 1 for csv 1, query 2 for csv 2 etc, In total 55 mb * 15 files. I needed 5 columns only. So after importing, I removed others. Problem is, Whenever I do apply change to go to data view from edit query, showing ran out of memory while applying changes.
Anything I could do to make it efficient? Thanks for any help.

do the files all have the same structure ? can you use power bi's ability to attach to a whole directory as a data source and import them all at once ? and during that load process you could load only the 5 columns you need ?

Thanks, I was thinking if I could do something during load process. Could not find a solution though as all zip files coming as csv file list. And I just clicked in each.

I think if you unzip the files and put them all in the same folder, you will then be able to use that folder as a data source, and power bi will combine all the files into one table.

Thanks. Actually data is coming everyday as zip file from data base where they store only one day data. That's why I was trying to use last 15 days zip file only.
will keep looking if I can find a way.

thanks
