Visual updates completed indicator

Hi Experts,
In PBI reports when there are many visuals (many cards and charts) accessing a table containing millions of rows, the visuals takes a long time to show the data. When clicking on visuals for cross filtering is also very slow.

Each visual refreshes asynchronously showing "light grey dots circling" to indicate the refresh is in progress. This is hardly visible and especially cannot be seen if background colors are used.
In the case where there are many card visuals displaying information, it is a nightmare to check each visual to check whether the "light grey dots circling" have completed.
Imagine I have to explain this to the management team.... that they need to check each piece of data in the screen to make sure the "light grey dots circling" have completed !!! 😟

I understand that I should look at DAX optimisation and reduce visuals in  page, etc. But irrespective all optimisations, I still need a way to show that ALL visuals refresh has been completed.

Is there any way to know that ALL the visuals in  page has been updated and have some sort of "visual" indication to user (since PBI is all about visual insights right)?

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever find anything for this? (appreciate it's been some time!) - I've got the same issue at the moment where the end users use a text search which queries millions or rows and can take between 10 and 20 seconds to complete but there other than the hard to see grey circle there's nothing to suggest it's still running.

Hi @anandav ,

If your data is large, there may indeed be this problem.

You can not judge whether all the visuals have been refreshed after a period of time, unless you wait long enough.
If reports can also have a "Refresh History" feature,  this problem will be solved, maybe you can submit an idea .

Best regards,
Lionel Chen
