Visual correct on desktop, wrong on web

Hello,

I have created a report with various key figures for a project. Each key figure is its own SQL script with the associated project number and all are linked to the main table via the project number.

If I open the report with the Power Bi Desktop, all ~10 key figures and project information are displayed correctly. If I publish the report, then all project information is displayed correctly, but from the key figures one knows the error "The data for this visualization was not found." on.

All metrics are created with the same visual, there is no difference. The query works, but the data is also not displayed in a table or in another visual. On the Power Bi desktop but already....

I published the report in another account, the data is also displayed there without any problems in the web view?!? What can be the reason?

Hi @Meeresblume ,

One possible cause is that the data source cache is corrupted. You can easily fix this by clearing the data source cache in Power BI. In Power BI Desktop, go to Data Source Settings, select the data source that you are using, and click Clear Permissions. Then, refresh your report and republish it.

Another possible cause is that the data source credentials are not updated or valid. You can check and update your credentials in the Power BI service. In the Power BI service, go to Settings, select Manage gateways, and then select Data sources. Find the data source that you are using, and click Edit credentials. Make sure that you enter the correct credentials and authentication method for your data source. Also check the gateway status and make sure that it is up and running. Then, refresh your report and see if the error is resolved.

A third possible cause is that there is a mismatch between the data types or formats of your key figures in Power BI Desktop and in the Power BI service. You can check and fix this by opening your report in Power BI Desktop, going to Edit Queries, selecting each key figure column, and making sure that the data type and format are consistent with your data source. Then, apply the changes, refresh your report, and republish it.
