View table (MySQL) and Data Modelling

Hi...

I have received 1 view table (MySQL) which has been joined from multiple tables and it has only 1 unique ID column. This view table is used to create reports...

1) Can I use the said view table immediately  or do I need to create dimension and fact tables first? ...

2) If I need to create dimension and fact tables, what happens to the new data entered into those tables (front-end system)?

Thank you.

Regards,

NickzNickz_BI

@NickzNickz_BI , You should prefer star schema, In this case, try to bring that from the database, that would be better

check video 2 and 3 , in case you want in power query
