Hi all,
I am new with the Power BI technology and I was wondering if there's any way to create a repository of variables. It means, having a shared file where all the variables are declared and you can just load them with PowerBI.
This will allow us to re-use variables from different projects and also to centralize the expressions with no need to use Power BI in case that a correction is needed.
Thank you,
Jose
Hi @Anonymous ,
Do you mean template pbix file with variable query parameters? If this is a case, you can create template files and modify query parameters to generate a new report file.

Hey @Anonymous
Although many users have requested global variables, that isn't part of the product at this time.
What your requesting is a bit different, but PBI doesn't have that capability either. You could try to work toward having standard measures in a PBI file, & then sharing that 'base' file with colleagues; however, the presumption then is that all colleagues will be working with the same data set, same table names, & same column names.
