Using date slicer to show last 13 months in bar graph visual

Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to replicate visual / slicer from an old file – the person who originally created this file has left the organisation so I cannot ask them how its done.

I’m trying to get the date slicer to show me the prior 13 months in the visual.

In my version, if I use the slicer, the graph just shows me that particular month.

I have checked I’m using the same fields, checked the relationships, measures etc….everything looks the same, but obviously something somewhere is not the same, and I can’t figure out what I’m missing.

If I copy my visual into the old file it works, if I copy the visual from the old file into my new file, it doesn’t work….so I know the visual and the fields I’ve used are fine….so it makes me think it’s the slicer…

My file does this when I use the slicer:

What I would like slicer to do to the visual, which works perfectly on the old file:

There is also already a filter on the visual to get the 13 months needed, using a measure, but the date slicer isn’t having the same effect in my version of the file.

If anyone has any ideas on what I am missing in my file, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thank you very much!! 😊
