Using Quick Measure to Divide Two Visuals

I have the following quick measure for dividing:

2021 Totals divided by Sum of 2021 Specific Total=
DIVIDE(Sum('Aug YTD Total Sales'[2021 Totals]),SUM(Umbrellas[2021 Total]), 0)

It allows for the measure but returns $5 and if I change to "show as a percentage of total, it's 100%%.

Is there an issue with using a quick measure to divide one visual by another?

Hi @datadelta

Are you able to provide a little more detail around your Data Model and the relationship(s) between the Total Sales and the Umbrellas table?

In any instance, I would recommend giving the following a go:

  1. Division Measure as % = SUM ( 'Aug YTD Total Sales' [2021 Totals] ) / SUM ( 'Umbrellas' [2021 Total] )
  2. Click on [Division Measure as %], go to Measure Tools in Ribbon, change Format to Percent.

Let me know if this helps!

This is comparing the percentage of umbrella sales to total of all product sales.

I followed your instructions but it gave me a crazy number.  1914.71%

The overall number is 508,815 and the umbrella number is 104525 which is about 20%

Thanks for helping.
