Using Dataset, formatting is disabled

Hi!

I've setup a pbix file with data modeling, and then I have a report pbix accessing the dataset file. So I guess that's what you call a 'live' connection. The problem is, the matrix visual in the report file shows rows as "Mittwoch, 01.Dezember 2021" and Modeling/Format is disabled, so I can't show the date as 01.12.2021 . Creating a measure and reformatting doesn't help much, because I need it as a date (axis) type. Is there a way for me to change the formatting at the data source? Where does the formatting come from in the first place? I want it always to show as "01.12.2021".

Thank you

Hi @marama ,

If you are using Power BI dataset as data source then you can download it from services and make your required changes and republish it but make sure this change will not affect your other reports which are using this dataset.

Thanks,

Samarth

Oh, silly me fogot to publish after modifying the local pbix dataset file, thank you 😉

Any idea if I can have "dd.mm.yyyy" by default, with all the tables?
