Slicer not getting updated

Hi there,

I've updated the data source with 2022 dates. Came back to the application and refreshed the board.

Here's the existing slicer dropdown with the year 2021 and not 2022 after refreshing the board .

and when I create another slicer with the same "Year" data. I see 2022 in this.

Is this a bug? I can't keep changing the slicer every now and then whenever the data source is updated.

I've been facing this issue for quite a while now. Please help. Thank you.

Hi @Nivedita ,

I did the same test with the following reference:

vhenrykmstf_0-1643012824391.png

Then click "refresh" and the data will be loaded for a short time. Then the latest data is synchronized to the data source.

But if there is a filter on this visual on the corresponding slicer, then when the data is refreshed, it will not be synchronized to the latest data immediately. Since there is no filter on the new slicer created, the latest data is synchronized immediately when refresh is clicked.

Hope this helps you. If the problem is still not resolved, please point it out. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry

If you click on the slicer and expand the filter pane in power bi desktop are there any visual level filters set?
