Use Power BI datasets and DirectQuery Connection Changes Date Type???

  Hello.

I am trying to use a Power BI dataset and add some tables for a new report.

In order to do this I use the DirectQuery connection.

There is an important line graph that is showing monthly sales but shows only the year on the X-axis and months do not appear.

But when I change the data to DirectQuery connection, the graph has the month name on the X-axis and the year together.

That makes the graph lower density, so I cannot put it on one page.

I think it is a kind of bug.

The date table is still having the same date hierarchy as below.

One thing I found is that the X-axis doesn't have the range option and I cannot change the type from category to continuous.

Because these two options are not being displayed any longer.

Can you please let me know how I can solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

@Young_G_Han , If you are using date, then you can use date hierarchy. But that you can do only on non key/join column.

If you use month and year, I doubt you can use date hierarchy

Of course I use date hierarchy and the table and columns are connected to the transaction date.

Is this the key/join column?

But the problem is that I could use the same function with the data used by Transform data.

I want this kind of graph but after I start to use the DirectQuery connection, all month name appears on the graph.
