Use Matrix as your data source

Hi All,

Thank you for reading this and helping me progress.

I have an issue, not sure if its a technical one or a understanding of my data.

I have multiple tables of data from various excel files that I upload as a data source to my power BI report.

I have created a matrix view of my data that works great but I now want to use this matrix view as source data for a visual chart.

The matrix view gives me the view/format I need to create the visual.

I would love to turn this matrix into a data source is that possible? Or do I need to go back to the raw data and figure it out there?

You can't use it as a source but shouldn't need to. You can copy/paste the visual (or create a new visual with the same columns/measures) and convert it to the visual you want. What visual are you trying to create and where are you stuck?
