During the use of Power Bi desktop and its "visuals" we have realized that some of them do not fit our needs, so we downloaded the Gantt Chart by MAQ Software.
Of course it has its updates, and when there is one, it stops working, or gives an error or doesn't filter the information well. We thought that it was enough to go to the market place and download it again, that what it really does is to update the existing one. We hit the update button but it's not enough.
What we do then is use the visual again (this one or any other) and put all its fields back in, but is there another way not to have to do it again?
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
Strangely, I didn’t get any errors when I updated. What is your version of PBI Desktop?
My version is 2.79.5768.1082 64-bit (March 2020).
In addition, I found that this custom visual in the latest version of Desktop is also the latest version(Version: 3.3.7), you try to update PBI Desktop directly.
Best regards,
Lionel Chen

Hi @Anonymous ,
Try to refer to the issues of the visual on github, maybe you have the problem.
